Scholarship giving is happening and we feel blessed by our faithful supporters.   With your prayers supporting us also we continue to walk towards this Backpacking trip.

The “Plan” at this point is to fly into Copenhagen, Denmark and come home from Vienna, Austria.  We are looking to see what and when countries become open and how it looks to travel around Europe with “survey cards” to ask people questions concerning their beliefs. Travel destinations within Europe are flexible as usual which allows for freedom of decision at the time.  We will all be carrying many copies of Gospel of John, as well as “The Case for Christ”, “How Good is Good Enough”, & “The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus”.   With the “Virus” threat & scare all over the world, this seems like the ideal time to go with “THE GOOD NEWS”.  We are planning to go and preparing to go.  Tickets are to be purchased by June 9.  If it is closed at the point of travel, the travel agent will return the cost of tickets if we cannot travel due to the Corona Virus. Our board has okayed a trip within the US doing the same thing, studying God’s word, Spiritual Growth and doing world view surveys.   Should we be unable to do any of this, gifts will be returned, if that is the giver’s wish.    I am copying checks so the information is easily available for reimbursement.

Many unknowns between now and then.  Some have wondered if we “should” go and many have wondered if we “could” go.  Revelation 3:7 tells us, “What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.”   We trust Him – we don’t NEED to know, because we know that He does know and is able to do anything!  (All-Powerful God that He is!)

As Francis Chan says in “Crazy Love”, one of the books we are all reading before the trip,    “But God doesn’t call us to be comfortable.  He calls us to trust Him so completely that we are unafraid to put ourselves in situations where we will be in trouble if He doesn’t come through.”  P. 122

That IS where we are.  We will trust Him!

Thank You for standing with us and laying up some eternal treasure.
